JFC 16-Year [Batch 003] A Blend of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky
A sipping bourbon like no other with silky complexity worthy of a three-finger pour. This beauty is defined by layers of flavor that unfold over the course of each sip. Finished and aged in a selection of Cognac barriques (for complexity and depth), Port barrels (for that sweet and nutty character), and Caldwell Cooperage French and American oak barrels (that bring the whole fabulous drink together). The final blend was finished to the exacting specifications of Napa Valley’s own maverick Vintner, John F. Caldwell, in partnership with Master Cooper, Ramiro Herrera (one of less than three dozen people in the world to hold the title). The whole lot was proofed down a few points allowing its incredibly soft mouthfeel and full-flavored finish shine.
Finish: Aged an additional 50 months in a head-spinning combination of master-crafted 225L American oak and Haute Futaie French oak barrels, and a few special 600L barrels that Ramiro personally sourced from France.
Toast: Various; medium, medium-plus and medium-long
Proof: 92
Produced: Only 1,650 bottles
